Mount Vernon, Ohio / Columbus, Ohio Wedding Photographer || Josh + Sadie's Rustic Winter Wedding - The Glenn A. Gallagher Centre
A very young Sadie and Josh met in the halls of middle school. It wasn't until years later that Josh was in the same town as Sadie's university. He was thinking of her and took a chance. He texted her. She answered. That text lead up to years later. The moment the church doors opened and Sadie took Josh's breath away as she gracefully walked down the aisle. With her Stella York gown sweeping behind her and her father at her side, everyone was awestruck. Josh and Sadie had made it. The planning was over. The title of fiance was disappearing. Every word of their vows sealed their promise to be husband and wife.
The day wasn't completed without the help of the sweet bridesmaids who wiped Sadie's happy tears and the groomsmen who kept Josh laughing as the anticipation to see his beautiful bride built. Josh and Sadie were surrounded by the people who had watch this love story write itself. This awesome bridal party even had a dance off that was both impressive and hilarious! It may have been the highlight of their reception.
The key player of the day, the one who brought on so many touching moments was Sadie's father. Let me just say that in over five years of meeting and photographing bride's fathers, Sadie's father was incredible. I can only hope that my daughter receives the love and dedication that Sadie's father gave to her. (Which I'm sure she will.) Sadie's dad wrote a BEAUTIFUL poem for Sadie that he read to her and her bridesmaids before the ceremony. He and Sadie's mother made sure their little girl was cared for the entire day. Later, as you'll see below, Sadie's dad threw down his crutches and danced with his daughter. It still to this moment makes me cry. Nothing was going to hold him back from that moment, getting to wrap his arms around his little girl and have one last moment before he entrusted her life to Josh. It was an astonishing moment I will never forget.
Josh and Sadie have a love that is so sweet and kind. It is a remarkable love that can capture the attention of a room in mere seconds. Jonathan and I were so blessed to get the honor of capturing their wedding day.
