Mount Gilead, Ohio Senior Portrait Photographer || Highland 2025: Abby, Raven & Bryn

I had an idea… what if there were senior pictures but they were actually capturing a moment and not manufacturing one? I was driving around and I came across THE CUTEST ice cream shop called The Sweet Spot in Mount Gilead, Ohio. The arrow sign lit up, along with the colorful umbrellas with the shop in the heart of the downtown area… it screamed summer to me. That classic, simple, American summer we all crave in the bitter cold of our midwest winters. I could not stop thinking about this shop and knew it needed to be included in a session somehow.

I love photographing seniors. Being a high school senior is a pivitol moment in life. You’re clinging to the last moments of childhood but being pushed into the world of adulthood at the same time. Capturing the year for people is such an honor to me. This ice cream shop felt like a moment to capture that. Ice cream is such a childhood staple. So, I went searching for some ladies who would want to be apart of this idea I had. Fate, (well, her name is Sara - an amazing friend of mine), brought me three best friends who were excited to have some fun and capture some memories. I lightly directed the girls. Other than that, they were just themselves. They enjoyed the evening, with their ice cream and each other. It was exactly what I hope for. I imagine the girls looking back at these photos years from now, remembering this summer and the senior year they were about to embark on… I hope these are treasured for years to come!

Thank you girls for being apart of this and helping my vision come to life. <3
