Dublin, Ohio Wedding & Engagement Photographer || Brandon’s Proposal to Rachael at Bridge Park
Who doesn’t love a good surprise when it involves a love story and a ring?! Brandon and his friend contacted me about some big, big plans. Brandon was planning on proposing to his girlfriend, Rachael. When I say this man had a plan, he truly had such a solid, detailed plan on how he wanted this to go. It was truly impressive!
Brandon had planned a day with Rachael that, to her, was going to be shopping and a day out at Bridge Park in Dublin. But what Brandon REALLY had planned was to propose on the bridge with family and friends waiting on the other side.
When the day came, I was so excited for these two. (My Apple Watch was alerting me to calm down!) It was such a really sunny and beautiful day so the bridge was packed. Brandon has emailed me that morning, letting me know what they were wearing and we had already determined the exact spot on the bridge where he would surprise her. With it being a really nice day, there were lots of people and when I tell you, I almost took out a dad and his stroller to get this shot… that’s the truth! Luckily, I darted into a way to see them while he distracted her by pointing out kayaks in the river below. Brandon got down on one knee and asked Rachael to be his wife! I’ll let you determine her answer by the images below!
The friends and family on the other side of the bridge were cheering so loud. I felt like time as stopped and everyone was watching this moment unfold…. it was the end and beginning of a chapter in a love story happening right before us.
While I write this, I know that central Ohio is recovering from awful storms and power outages. Tornados ripped through our area. I hope that many read this as a beacon of hope. Love and happiness is all around us if we take the time to look for it. Brandon and Rachael are such sweet people with a tribe who loves them. I hope that reading their story brings you joy today in a time when we need it most.
