I have to admit, May weddings might be my favorite. There is something about the first few weeks of nice weather combined with love shown at a beautiful wedding that makes life feel really wonderful. (But that’s just my opinion!)
Florsita and Jose’s wedding day had details in every place you could think of, nothing was missed. I loved how they chose very light pastel peach, gold and pinks as an elegant touch. They also chose this stunning historical barn for their day. They used wood textures in their decor and even their invitation to tie the elegant parts in with the rustic, historical feel of the venue. I truly feel this wedding was exceptionally well thought out!
They also tied in all their family and traditions into the day as well. Their family had important parts in the wedding party, ceremony, and reception. You’ll see below they made sure to include the wedding lasso tradition into their ceremony as well. The wedding lasso is a unity ceremony performed after the exchange of vows using a lasso or rope to join the couple. It is placed over the couple's shoulders by either the officiant or los padrinos (godparents) and symbolizes their everlasting union and status as one in the eyes of the Lord. (I really loved that part of the ceremony!)
Jose and Florsita’s reception was so fun too! With all their favorite people, they danced and enjoyed so many moments together. I loved how Florsita executed her giving away of her bouquet. Each single lady got a ribbon connected to the bouquet held by the bride. As the music started, Jose covered Florsita’s eyes, and the ladies danced around them to the music. Florsita then blindly eliminated ladies until one remained! I thought this was SOOO fun and created better images for this part of the reception. Lets do more of that, please!
Jon and I loved getting to meet all the people Jose and Florsita love and capture their union along with all the happiness that surrounded them.
