Powell, Ohio Wedding + Engagement Photographer || Miranda & Zack’s Wedding Day at Swan Lake
Miranda and Zack had an incredible wedding day…. I mean, obviously, look at the images! Friends are smiling, family surrounds them, they are in love…. but that’s not what I think is incredible….
Now, I’ve photographed so many weddings over the years but this one was so beautifully done for one reason alone. There are complete unity. You’re probably thinking… well duh, two people WOULD be unified on a wedding day! But the unity here is SO much deeper than Miranda and Zack love each other so let me explain….
When I work with my couples, I get a ton of information from them before hand. I meet with them, they give me details of their day, their plans, their wants… everything. When I met with these two for the first time, they both were really invested. They both were really thinking hard about how to make this day about them and not just their love. When it came time to collect a lot of their information about the plans of the day, I realized just how much they had intertwined both their lives into this day. The couple had a Catholic ceremony but also a Sri Lankan lamp lighting ceremony. They had the groomsmen wear suits but the ladies wore sarees. The bride celebrated in two different outfits that both meant so much to her. They had both Sri Lankan and our more commonly known wedding cake for guests to enjoy…. it was all about taking two lives and all that included and making it as if it was one to begin with. Not only was it the material things that made me feel this way but their two families are absolutely incredible together…. you’d think they had been family for decades! I really enjoyed spending the day with all of them!
I feel so grateful and really lucky that Miranda and Zack chose me and Jon to photograph their wedding day. This was a day I wish every wedding planning couple could witness first hand but I hope my photos will suffice! It wasn’t just one part of the couple planning a day, it was Miranda and Zack, together, embodied as an event. Every vendor, family member, loved one and friend did and incredible job celebrating the marriage of these two. What a beautiful day!
