Mount Vernon, Ohio Wedding + Engagement Photographer || Blake & Justin’s Wedding Day at Dowalter Vineyards
This wedding day was not only very very special for the couple and their loved one but it was also a very momentous milestone in my career. Blake, this beautiful bride, was once a high school senior who showed up to a senior portrait session with me years ago. So to say this wedding was special is an understatement.
Getting to join Blake’s family and meet Justin and his family was so wonderful. I loved watching everyone love on and lift up Blake and Justin. Blake’s dad had this really heart felt speech that felt like he was reading the manuscript of a romance movie from the supportive dad’s perspective. It was probably one of the best speeches I’ve ever heard a family member give. No matter any guest’s relationship with the couple, his speech gave you so much insight into how these two fell in love and their journey to the alter.
Speaking of the family, Justin’s family traveled far to come to the wedding and despite their travels, they worked with other family and friends to help with the wedding day and support this couple in the most amazing ways. When I photographed Blake’s senior session, her mom and sister were with us as well. In passing, they were telling me how the family was creating a vineyard and had hopes it would be a success. Fast forward to they wedding day, Blake celebrated her marriage with Justin among those vines, first planted many years ago. The entire day was so beautiful, even with the rain. Everything was tuned to perfect to Blake and Justin and who they are together as a couple.
