I wish there were more people in the world like Christy and Benjamin. Them and their families both. If you want to know our ideal clients, these are the people. This couple, their families and friends filled this day with love, joy, and peace. It’s the kind of authentic happiness that you receive when you live so genuinely in the moment. These are the types of events that allow me to really capture the art of the moment. Moments not overly staged, but guided to unfold and naturally capture what a wedding day should be: celebrating, not stressing.
Could I give any engaged folks a bit of advice? Plan your day as something you want to experience, then experience it. DO NOT pack your day full of high expectations and trends that you will look back and shake your head at. Plan your day to be a day of living, fully in the moment. Do that, and you will have THE BEST DAY.
Christy and Benjamin’s wedding day had clouds and it rained. The timeline had to be adjusted. Her dress got mud on it. But you know what she said, “It’s okay! I’m only wearing it one day!”. (Amen, babe!) What she may not realize is that ten years from now, she will drag it out just to try on one more time. She will pull it out of the bag and run her fingers along the dirt stained edges of the skirt. She will think back to this day. How it smelt like Spring rain. How her husband gasped when he saw her… She will have given herself a gift by embracing the moments of her wedding day. A gift that had no amount of money could otherwise supply her.
I want to thank Christy’s mom for finding me. I want to thank everyone at this wedding for being a blessing to us. It was incredible to witness everyone’s love for this couple. Jon and I enjoyed meeting all of you.
