Columbus Ohio Proposal Photographer || Robert & Haley’s Proposal at Stauf’s Coffee
Robert planned this proposal to PERFECTION. When we spoke on the phone, he already had so much planned down to the timing family would be driving to get there ahead of the moment! I was impressed. Robert spoke about how Stauf’s was their first date. It meant so much to him to take her back to where it all started. So Robert planned to take Haley to a nearby store, but on the way, planned to stop her right in front of Stauf’s and change their lives just like that first date did.
My family and I planned to go undercover and be unsuspecting patrons of Lion Cub’s Cookies. (My kids had never been so happy to be a decoy AND be paid in sweet treats.) We sat and waited while Robert and Haley’s family arrived. They went and hid up a side street, in the shade, JUST out of their sight but in perfect view of the moment. When we saw them walking down the sidewalk, my kids and Jon walked across the street as if going to the car, I waited a moment longer then got up and we captured their moment.
WOW WOW WOW. It was beautiful. It couldn’t be a better feeling to watch these moments perfectly unfold. The face on the proposer’s face after they know their hard planned surprise worked out perfectly. Across the street, Robert’s nieces were dressed in specially made shirts to celebrate the moment. Such a sweet and beautiful family supporting this couple… just absolutely beautiful!
Robert, thank you for entrusting me with such a big job. Not only did you allow me to capture this moment, you gave an opportunity to my kids to see love played out in real life and they got to see me and their dad look like really cool undercover photographers… hahaha! I hope this isn’t the last time I see you and haley but I am so thankful I got to capture this.
