Powell, Ohio Newborn Photographer || Simon’s In-Home Newborn Session

Walking into their home, I placed my bags on the ground, looked up, and saw the wedding photos I had taken of them many years ago. I got a little lump in my throat, quickly looked away from the wall and tried to blink back tears… I never grow immune to this feeling as it’s happened when I’m so graciously welcomed into the homes of my repeat clients. I’m not sure what it is but it’s this overwhelming, almost undeserving feeling of ‘Oh wow so you really did like your photos.’ Little secret: Even after 14 years, I still can’t believe anyone likes anything I create…. But as I was unpacking, their daughter ran up to me to greet me with a silly face and showed me to her toys. This little one, now running around her house was once a dream of her parents who then was a maternity bump I photographed and now she’s a big sister. DO YOU SEE WHY I GET EMOTIONAL ABOUT THESE THINGS?

Simon is a precious and God-gifted little blessing that I am so thankful I got to photograph. Getting to photograph the Bradley family after all these years, through all their growth, is a privilege I never can come to grips with. Simon was PERFECTION during his very first photos. He was sleepy with just a few snack breaks and we got some truly sweet photos of him with his family. Ugh, I hope you enjoy looking over this sneak peek as much as I loved capturing and creating them.
